A man that would risk his life to save yours with the same tongue that butterflies your rib cage with a calm, thorough vivisection of your failures, and of where you went wrong as a person. He is as much a bleeding heart as he is a walking composite of bad temper, irritable attitude, and troublesome background. He is the moth, as well as the candle of which he ignites himself on. A living pinned insect, the powers that be harbor an infatuation with his audacity. It is only a matter of time until he is reduced to a small, unsightly cinder.

The First Serpent Commander is known for being as nosy as he is efficient. He’s cultivated a reputation among citizens of the shroud for being a stern but fair (if not cold) individual that will investigate any mystery no matter how small, and for supporting progressive Gridanian policies. He’s also been known to grab the ire of his political rivals, and is not a stranger to attempts on his life. Whether comrade or citizen (or criminal), he’s certain to remember your face and your name.

Of note, he’s integrated Chainspell into new arcanima theory and has spent the past few years teaching and standardizing the technique.

Bad news follows Seif like a bad smell. Unfortunate things tend to happen around him, to a point where some call him cursed. Some say that the Elementals are scared of him, and that’s why the roots of trees attempt to trip him when he’s not watching his feet. The speculations of his origins vary wildly, and isn’t it strange for a viera to have fangs? Isn’t that the guy who sucks ass at triple triad? Isn’t that the guy who sleeps with his eyes open?(This is an invitation for players to make up rumors that their character may have heard about Seif as a fun exercise. The funnier the better!)

  Weird Magic Shit  

Any magician with some manner of magical or aetheric sense/sight is bound to pick up on the strange vibe curled around Seif’s soul, like a hot brand on skin. At its worst, it leaves the air tasting like madness, snake oil, and an insatiable, gnawing hunger. Feel free to bring it up, satisfy your own curiosity, or keep it to yourself! Though he is just as likely to be fixated on you as you are with him, for some unexplained reason.

  Arcanima  

Renowned scholar and a researcher pioneering the bleeding edge of arcanima theory. If you’re at all an arcanima academic, you’ve probably read a textbook or tome with at least a few pages written by yours truly, if not all, given he’s published many of his own during his two centuries of life. He’s delighted by meeting other nerds in the wild, and if you’ve ever sat in on a class at the arcanists guild he’s sure to remember you.

I've been drawing and playing video games my whole life. I love ttrpgs and mmorpgs, and I run a demon: the descent living campaign with my friends called nocturne symphony when I'm not playing ffxiv. I take commissions every so often and I love to play dolls with ocs.I am a very experienced roleplayer and have been doing so in mmos, forums, and discord since I was 13, though these days I am very selective and I prefer to only rp with people I am familiar with.
